Asylum's Way

Aslyums's Way

Asylum’s Way was a band of friends that came together to create this CD. With our varied back grounds and the influence of growing up in the sixties and seventies, our music reflects our lives.

The core of Asylum’s Way consists of Michael and Lorri Scott who are the singer/songwriters of the band and Danny Gross the lead guitar player. Working as a trio they create a solid Folk/Rock sound with influences ranging from Nova Scotia to Texas.

When we bring Jerry Brocklehurst into the mix our sound expands and possibilities grow. With his talented key board playing and knowledge of song structure he was invaluable in helping with song arrangement. He is currently living on the Island of Kauai in Hawaii working on his record label "New Boomer Music", the Kauai Music Festival and other music endeavors.

Then we mix in some special guests. Pipa Pinon singing backing vocals and helping with vocal arrangements, Patti Maxine and her fine slide guitar and Gary Kehoe percussion.

We round the band out with our hired guns the rhythm section, Jim Norris on drums and Daniel Vee Louis on Bass. Daniel was the producer on this CD and with his expertise, imagination and Jim’s solid drumming we have Asylum’s Way.

This is a collection of tunes that Lorri and I wrote with the intention of exploring our creative side and having fun. Along the way Jerry Brocklehurst and Danny Gross got a hold of them and helped us mold them into songs. Without their help and amazing talents along with the
producing genius of Daniel Vee Lewis and vocal coaching by Pipa Pinon this album would not have happened. ~Michael~ 2006
